The NGO NCC’s team comprising of Psychologist Ms. Michelle Amsterdam, Case Navigator Ms. Vanessa Holder and personnel from the Charity Police Station went into the Charity housing scheme.
There were interactions with over a dozen people both male and female in a house-to-house exercise. Persons were
told about the services provided by the NCC and how they can be accessed including the Digital GBV Platform.
On the outreach was Ms. Mariana Mohabeer who is a migrant and is now living in Guyana having come from Venezuela some six years ago. She was instrumental in making sure our interactions with the migrant population in the housing scheme. We were able to provide critical information to a GBV survivor who will be followed up with due to a current situation.
The community sensitizations which are compliments of the IDB Lab will continue in the villages of Lima Sands and Anna Regina Housing Scheme.
