The NGO National Coordinating Coalition (NCC) organization has launched a groundbreaking new digital platform aimed at supporting survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) and improving access to critical services funded by the IDB-Lab.

The user-friendly platform serves as an interface between survivors, the agency, our partners and national systems to report incidents of violence, track case progress, refer individuals to support services and keep users informed throughout the process.

“We envision this platform drastically increasing survivors’ access to justice and support services through the power of technology,” said NCC’s ICT consultant Ishaka Jackman.

The secure system allows survivors to report GBV incidents via computer or mobile device. Their case is then tracked from the initial report through final disposition, keeping survivors notified of progress. Built-in referral tools connect individuals to translation, legal, psychosocial and economic empowerment services.

The platform will first be used by NCC personnel and GBV support providers before expanding to additional public sector agencies. Extensive training and user support will ensure smooth adoption and integration.

NCC plans to scale the platform nationally and with other partners both state and non-government organizations, adapting it to the unique needs of diverse communities. Regional exchanges and knowledge transfers will support replication efforts to multiply the platform’s benefits more widely.

“This is only the beginning – we envision the platform transforming lives across the region and beyond,” “It will generate real-time GBV data to inform policies and drive social change while connecting survivors to programs and resources.” – Executive Director Ms Simone Sills

The platform will also generate data to assess GBV prevalence in the regions of the NGO’s community support officers, identify gaps in services, and monitor performance outcomes. This evidence-based approach will help drive advocacy, improve coordination between agencies, and secure funding for programmes proven to aid survivors and possible preventative systems.

The launch ceremony held at the Herdmanston Lodge included our chairman Mr. Nicholas Persaud, representative of the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security Mr. Adel Lilly , IDB  representative Ms. Lorena Solorzano Salazar, Our partners and secretariat staff and consultants.
