GENERAL INFORMATION
Express Guyana was formed out of the need to respond to the prevalence of social challenges face in Guyana. Our mission is to be a leading social entrepreneurial NGO, offering opportunities to Guyanese for more fulfilling livelihoods, with regard to emotional, social, economic and physical aspects of life. We aim to improve the health and social well-being of citizens, by reducing the prevalence and impact of social challenges in society. Our primary target population is residents in the West Demerara region.
Educational Services
- Performing Arts programs where children and youth improve self perception through learning to play instruments and vocal training.
- Social experiments on gender-based violence
Lifestyle Services
- Safe spaces for engaged and married couples to learn and improve relationships
- Safe spaces for youth to express themselves, learn crucial life skills and build self-confidence
Future Goals
Express Guyana hopes to
- Become a leading socially entrepreneurial NGO in Guyana
- Acquire its own land/building to establish a training facility for community and regional services
