The National Coordinating Coalition Inc.’s Gender-Based Violence Village Outreach continued in Kmawatta, Barima Waini Region One. The team had heartfelt conversations door-to-door also erecting informative posters and sharing flyers, as our team engaged with the community in a meaningful way. Interacting with key village stakeholders like teachers, the village council head and dedicated healthcare workers allowed us to spread awareness and present information on how to fight against gender-based violence, domestic violence and xenophobia.
Head nurse Anita Fredricks, whose valuable insights from the health clinic discourse emphasised our collective commitment to creating a safer environment. As a token of support, we distributed hampers within the community.The team aims to continue to make strides towards an all-encompassing approach towards ending gender-based violence, domestic violence and xenophobia in all the region and country overall.
